    ◇ FLNG contract awarded from Italy''s ENI

    - Consortium with Technip-JGC, 2.8 tn for Samsung portion



    Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.("SHI") concluded a 2.8 trillion Korean Won contract to build a giant offshore production unit.

    SHI revealed on 2nd a contract award to build a   FLNG(Floating LNG production facility) for Italian oil major   ENI''s Coral development in Mozambique.


    The gigantic FLNG boasts length of 439m, width of 65m, depth of 38.5m, and weighs 210,000 tons. It is designed to produce 3 million tons of LNG and 480,000 tons of gas condensates (ultra-light oil) annually.


     


    SHI won the order as consortium with France''s Technip and Japan''s JGC. SHI''s portion amasses engineering, procurement, and construction for the hull and production engineering and construction of topsides amounting to 2.5 billion USD.


     


    The gigantic FLNG boasts length of 439m, width of 65m, depth of 38.5m, and weighs 210,000 tons. It is designed to produce 3 million tons of LNG and 480,000 tons of gas condensates (ultra-light oil) annually.


     


    Samsung Heavy Industries'' latest order further extends its order record for 2017 including 8 tankers, 2 LNG carriers, a LNG-FSRU, a FLNG, and a FPU totaling 13 vessels at 4.8 billion USD.
